Home Renovation
Toorak Gardens

This renovation transformed the home by removing internal solid brick walls to create a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area.

The kitchen was extended and fitted with a four-panel sliding to maximise views across the backyard and pool. The laundry entrance was relocated, with both the kitchen extension and laundry externally rendered to create a seamless finish.

With the living room wall and fireplace removed, the living area became more spacious and better connected to the adjoining spaces.

Venetian plaster was applied to create a striking feature wall.

New ceilings and downlights were installed to brighten the space and enhance the overall open-plan living area.

The original kitchen window was removed and bricked up to maximise overhead cupboard storage.

A walk-in pantry was also incorporated into the new layout by utilising the former passage cupboard space and reconfiguring the adjoining laundry.

The laundry was fitted with new joinery, tiles, toilet suite, and vanity allowing it to function as a practical dual-purpose space.

The master bedroom windows were removed and bricked up to allow for a full wall of built-in robes.

A new ensuite was created for the master bedroom by relocating the original entrance from the passageway directly into the bedroom, creating a more functional and private layout.

The ensuite was completely replumbed to suit the new layout.

Both the ensuite and main bathroom were fitted with new windows, full-height tiling, toilet suites, vanities with feature lighting, modern fittings and shower screens with niches.

To complete the home transformation, the remaining three bedrooms were refreshed with new carpet and modern sliding robes, while the old linen cupboard was replaced with custom joinery.

New timber flooring, fresh paint, new doors and contemporary door furniture throughout the home brought the entire renovation together.
